Bike night
Tonight I went for a bike ride through the neighborhood. As I rode down California I spotted three kids that live next to the Corps. They often attend on Tuesday nights for youth activities. The three of them were hanging on the side of the street with bikes in hand. As soon as they realized it was me they all hoped on their bikes and we went for a cruise together. Javon age 11 rode on a small kids bike with Kevin age 9 on the back standing on a set of aftermarket pegs. Mitchell the oldest at 12 rode an old beat down mountain bike with no brakes and a crooked tire. We cruised the streets showing off our skills. We rode without hands, poped wheelies and swerved back and forth enjoying the cooling spring evening. We swung by my house and I grabbed my tools. I worked over each bike with the boys attempting to just get them in a somewhat safe condition. These guys need some new bikes.
