Betsy was out gardening in the playground the other day. It was a Thursday which is the day the corps opens its doors to people in search of food. Often while parents are waiting to be served their kids will play on the playground next to the corps. When the kids saw betsy with flowers and a hose they wanted to help.

As I took a minute to watch our urban gardeners progress I realized that this is one of those moments that make a place like our church so valuable.

We have begun planting, building and creating life around the corps to make it a place where dreams can be formed and inspiration abounds. It is in nature and creativity where we often find our Lord.
